Alexus Omar

Alexus is a sophomore at Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids, IA. She is an active member of her high schools dance team and show choir. She began her formal training at Studio Dance and then spent the last 8 years training at Cherie’s Dance Studio. She is trained in Hip Hop, Lyrical, Ballet, Tap, and Jazz, and is extremely excited to grow as a dancer with MOvMNT Dance Company.

Amber Beckley

Amber was born and raised in Cedar Rapids and dance has always been her first interest.  Amber began dancing at McNaughton Dance Company in Cedar Rapids, taking tap and ballet classes.  After two years with McNaughton, Amber started dancing at Cherie’s dance studio for seven years participating in musical theater, jazz, hip hop, and Jammers.  She has also done dance clinics and step classes at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club.

During her freshman year at Prairie High School, Amber made the Prairie High School Dance Team and danced with the team for two and a half years.

Jordan Lunsford

Trained in hip hop and contemporary through MOvMNT Dance Company, Jordan has been a part of MDC for five years. He has also studied ballet, West African dance, and tap through MDC and has taken master classes in LA with fellow MDC members. When not dancing, Jordan enjoys football, art, guitar, and singing.

Maddy Springer

A senior in high school, Maddy Springer, has trained for 14 years at the Joan Cooling Dance Center in Vinton, IA. She has studied tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and tumbling. Besides dancing, her hobbies include running and listening to music.

Mikah Lunsford

An enthusiastic 8th grader, Mikah loves to dance and never plans to stop! She started at the age of 2 and has studied several styles of dancing including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, and contemporary. She has also been involved in musical theatre productions. In her spare time, Mikah likes to play basketball, sing, play the piano, and spend quality time with her family.

Naomi Spence

As a junior in high school, Naomi Spence spends her time rehearsing and performing with MDC and with her high school show choir. She also plays soccer and runs cross country. In her free time, Naomi enjoys shopping.
