The MOv3 Dance Ministry will strive to present the Gospel while developing a community of dancers for Christ.
About the MOv3 Dance Ministry
The MOv3 Dance Ministry was formed in June of 2009.
The MOv3 Dance Ministry currently performs as part of the River of Life Worship service once a month, and is available for outside performances that do not conflict with our Sunday morning commitments.
The MOv3 Dance Ministry submits to the Artistic Direction of Lovar Davis Kidd and the Leadership and Spiritual Direction of the River of Life Pastors, Elders, and Deacons.
How do I join MOv3 Dance Ministry?
Here are a few preliminary requirements for becoming a member of MOv3:
SERVE- This allows our dance ministry and church leaders to get to know you off of the stage. We get to see important qualities such as how you handle pressure, and how you relate to others while working on specific tasks. We gain knowledge of the kind of person you are when you serve others.
ATTEND- Even if River of Life is not your church home, we would still like to know that you are making a declaration of your faith by being a regular church attendee.
TITHE- Sow into your church home. It says in Malachi 3 that a tenth of your earnings should go into the storehouse. As a committed member of your church home it is crucial that you sow into your house.
AUDITION- The MOv3 Dance Ministry will request an audition to see your dance ability.
Casting & Rehearsal System
MOv3 Dance Ministry members will be expected to dance once a month as part of the River of Life Worship Service.
All MOv3 Dance Ministry members will be asked for the their availability 2-3 weeks prior to a performance.
Rehearsals will be held on Wednesdays from 7:30-9 PM. Rehearsals may also be scheduled Sunday afternoons between 2-4 as needed.
PLEASE NOTE: Anything that has to do with dance at River of Life must be approved by the MOv3 Dance Ministry artistic director Lovar Davis Kidd.
When it comes to this ministry, a dancer’s attitude will play a key role in whether they are cast in a production. Above talent, MOv3 Dance Ministry looks for people that are easy to work with (regardless of what may be happening in their personal life).
